My name is Liv -- I am originally from our homesteaded farm outside of a small town in Minnesota. Out there on the prairie, I had never heard of the term 'doula' until coming here to Okinawa. I fell in love with the opportunity in which doulas are granted to partake in God's Divine Design of human life in a very special way. 

 

I am a planner; I love to be organized and have a plan a, b, c, and z. However, with the pregnancy of our son, the Lord challenged me to put down my pen and let Him do the writing. He had already written our birth story, but it was up to us if we were going to trust His plan or create our own. He desires us to say, "Yes." when He asks, "Do you trust me?"

Through various means, I will help ensure you are informed and supported throughout the duration of your pregnancy and birth experience. I am sincerely humbled in the opportunity to partake in His plan for your birth.
