During our initial meeting, I will introduce myself and my role as a doula. I will answer any questions that you may have, and we will together determine if I am a good fit to join your birth team -- doula, mom, and spouse.

I offer two prenatal visits, or more if you would like. During our first prenatal visit, we will discuss any previous pregnancies and questions that you may have. I will give you evidence-based information regarding possible medical inventions and procedures you may encounter. I also have a lending library if you are interested, including pregnancy, labor, and breastfeeding books. 

During our second prenatal visit, we will have a birth rehearsal in which we will discuss and practice various comfort measures. We will also discuss your birth preferences and create your birth plan together.

I can join you at either at your home or birth setting on the day your little one decides to arrive and will remain with you throughout your birth. I will support you through the various comfort measures we practiced and encourage you through your chosen birth affirmations.  I will stay with you after the birth until you and your family are ready for quiet time together. If you would like me to, I can also take photos during and after the birth capturing these early moments of you and your family.

After the birth, I will schedule a follow-up meeting within the first few weeks to visit with you and baby. I am available to answer questions you may have about the birth or care of your baby. I will also assist with household needs (laundry, cooking, dishes, etc.) during this visit if you would like.
